My Journey with Wazir and Dhanpuri Public School: A Volunteer’s Heartfelt Experience

A Momment Of Calm And Smiles

My name is Payal, and I am 28 years old. My journey with the Wazir Education Society began at a time when I was in between jobs and was looking for an opportunity to give back to the community. Volunteering with Wazir felt like the perfect fit, especially because it involved working with children, something I have always been passionate about. Back in college, I spent time teaching English to kids, and those experiences left a lasting impression on me. Initiatives that focus on children have always held a special place in my heart, and joining Wazir was not just about volunteering—it was about being part of something that I truly believed in.

The Power of Education in My Life

Coming from a lower-middle-class family, I know firsthand the transformative power of education. Education has been a cornerstone in my life and the lives of my siblings. We are where we are today because of the opportunities education has provided us, and I firmly believe it can do the same for the children at Dhanpuri Public School. That belief is what drives me to contribute to this cause and support the incredible efforts of everyone involved with Wazir.

The Dedication of the Wazir Team

One of the things that I love most about Wazir and its work is the sheer dedication of every single person involved. Whether it’s the teachers, Annek, Arif, or other volunteers, there is a sense of commitment that goes beyond a regular job. I’ve seen them work late nights and weekends, giving their all to ensure the best for the children. Arif, in particular, is always working, even when we’re just having a conversation. This level of dedication is inspiring and it pushes me to try my best, even when time is scarce or the tasks seem challenging. Being surrounded by such motivated individuals not only keeps me going but also reaffirms why I joined Wazir in the first place.

Seeing the Tangible Impact

What makes this journey even more rewarding is witnessing the tangible impact that Wazir is making in the lives of these children. The board meetings, regular updates, and progress reports show us just how much the initiatives are helping these kids. We can measure the improvements and see the positive changes happening right before our eyes. It’s not just about numbers; it’s about the real, meaningful difference we’re making in these children’s lives.

Dhanpuri Public School, along with Wazir, plays a crucial role in providing education to kids from rural areas, many of whom come from families below the poverty line or from lower-middle-class backgrounds. For these children, education is more than just a learning experience; it is a pathway to a better future. It’s a chance for them to improve their financial situation, uplift their communities, and create a life filled with opportunities that they otherwise might not have had.

A Privilege to Be Part of the Journey

I believe in the work Wazir does because I’ve seen the impact firsthand. The education and support we provide are essential for these kids to grow, not just academically, but as individuals who can go on to make a difference in their communities. It is a privilege to be a part of this journey, to contribute to a cause that resonates so deeply with me, and to witness the incredible transformations happening every day at Dhanpuri Public School.
