Introducing Riya Gupta: Pioneer of Our Mentorship Program

Riya Gupta has been an integral part of our mentorship initiative since its inception. Her dedication and visionary thinking were pivotal in shaping the WES Foundation’s mentorship program. Recognizing that mere computer education was not sufficient for the holistic development of first-generation learners, Riya championed the idea of structured guidance. She believed that these students needed mentors who could provide not just answers, but the kind of support that fosters reflection and informed decision-making.

Riya’s journey to becoming a mentor is deeply inspiring. Hailing from a humble family in Nepal, her parents understood the transformative power of education and ensured she received quality schooling in cities like Tehri and other parts of India. While her early years were challenging, Riya’s perseverance led her to excel academically. She later moved to Bangalore to pursue her undergraduate studies and embarked on her professional career.

After gaining valuable work experience, Riya took a career break to pursue her ACCA (the UK equivalent of CA), which further enhanced her expertise. She has worked with various esteemed organizations across India and Europe, gaining a wealth of knowledge and skills. Now, as a part of UI in Bangalore, she continues to make an impact.

Riya’s commitment to mentoring is unmatched. She has spent significant time in Dhanpuri, engaging directly with students and guiding them from their early school years to higher education and beyond. Her extensive experience enables her to mentor students from diverse academic backgrounds, including those in commerce, science, and those aiming for civil services. Riya’s holistic approach ensures that each student she mentors is supported through every phase of their educational and career journey.

The WES Foundation is proud to have Riya Gupta as our students’ mentor, whose dedication continues to illuminate the path for countless learners.
