The WES Foundation’s Community Outreach Program (COP) continues to create meaningful connections between students, their families, and the Foundation. By visiting homes, the COP team ensures that education is not only prioritized but also supported within families. This week, Isabel Rabadan, a dedicated volunteer from Belgium, joined Muskan and Afifa Mam to visit the homes of students. These visits served as a platform to spread awareness about the importance of education and foster stronger bonds between the Foundation and the community.

One of the highlights of the outreach was the visit to Afreen’s home. Afreen, a calm and hardworking student enrolled in the WES Foundation’s computer batch, welcomed the team with her characteristic warmth and politeness. Afreen has consistently shown dedication to her studies, and during the visit, she shared with her mother the details of what she has been learning in the computer classes. From understanding basic computer operations to gaining valuable skills that are essential in today’s digital age, Afreen explained everything with enthusiasm.
Her mother, filled with pride, expressed her joy in seeing Afreen take her studies seriously. She described Afreen as a diligent and cooperative child who completes her assignments on time. However, she also mentioned that Afreen had faced challenges maintaining regular attendance due to some medical issues. This had caused some concern, but after meeting Isabel and hearing her inspiring words about the significance of education and computer literacy, Afreen resolved to attend classes regularly.
Isabel’s interaction with Afreen and her mother was insightful and encouraging. She spoke about the evolving role of technology in education and its critical importance in today’s fast-paced world. Isabel explained how digital literacy equips students with the tools to access better opportunities and prepares them for future challenges. Her emphasis on the importance of education resonated deeply with Afreen’s mother, who pledged her continued support for Afreen’s academic pursuits.
The visit also highlighted the essence of the WES Foundation’s mission—ensuring that education reaches every child, irrespective of their circumstances. By understanding the challenges faced by families, the Foundation can adapt its support to address individual needs. Afreen’s story is a perfect example of how the Foundation’s personalized approach fosters confidence and motivation among students and their families.
Afreen’s mother shared her belief that education is the most valuable asset her daughter.
