Community Outreach Program: Building Educational Awareness with Global Support_COP_11_2024

The WES Foundation’s Community Outreach Program (COP) continues to make a profound impact by fostering educational awareness and strengthening the relationship between schools and families. This initiative aims to address individual challenges faced by students through home visits and personalized guidance. Today, Isabel Rabadan, a dedicated volunteer from Belgium, joined Muskan and Afifa Ma’am on their outreach mission, visiting families and sharing insights to enhance educational engagement.

One of the key visits of the day was to Aliya Bee’s home. Her mother, a cooperative and understanding woman, welcomed the team and openly shared her concerns about Aliya. While Aliya is a bright and capable student, her mother mentioned a recurring issue — her lack of interest in attending computer classes regularly, despite being sent to them.

Isabel Rabadan empathized with the challenges and provided thoughtful strategies to reignite Aliya’s interest in learning. She shared motivational stories of individuals who overcame similar hurdles and succeeded through perseverance and confidence-building. Isabel emphasized the importance of connecting computer skills to real-world opportunities, which can help Aliya see the value of attending these classes.

Afifa Ma’am reinforced this guidance, encouraging Aliya’s mother to create a supportive routine at home. This included setting goals for Aliya’s computer learning, celebrating small achievements, and gradually fostering her interest in technology. Muskan Ma’am also highlighted Aliya’s potential and suggested involving her in activities that make learning fun and interactive.

The visit was not just about addressing challenges but also about empowering Aliya’s mother with the tools to guide her daughter effectively. The WES team stressed the significance of consistent encouragement and support in helping Aliya build confidence and focus on her studies.

This home visit exemplifies the WES Foundation’s holistic approach to education. By working closely with families, the program ensures that students receive not only academic guidance but also emotional and motivational support. Isabel’s international perspective added a unique dimension to the outreach, inspiring both the family and the team to explore innovative ways to address educational challenges.

The Community Outreach Program is a testament to the WES Foundation’s dedication to transforming lives. Each home visit is a step towards creating an environment where children are encouraged to dream, work hard, and achieve their goals. Through collaborative efforts, the foundation continues to empower students like Aliya, paving the way for a brighter and more promising future.
