In our latest Saturday virtual session, we had the privilege of hosting Hari Om, an inspiring IFS officer presently serving as DFO Production, Dindori Forest Division. His participation in our Wazir Education Society (WES) Saturday Guest Series brought excitement and left a deep impact on both students and faculty. A Tale of Resilience: The Story of Three Tiger Cubs
Hari Om opened the session by recounting a remarkable story from his early days in the forest service—one about three tiger cubs who, against the odds, survived and grew strong after losing their mother at just six months old. This story, filled with resilience and determination, conveyed a powerful message: no matter where you start, you have the ability to shape your own path. He reminded students, “Every challenge you face is an opportunity to start anew and write your own story.”
From Engineering to the Forest Service: Hari Om’s Inspiring Journey
Hari Om’s journey is a powerful example of following one’s true calling. Initially pursuing engineering after cracking the IIT entrance, he eventually realized his passion for public service and took on the rigorous UPSC exams, which he passed after three attempts. Today, as DFO in Dindori, he is fulfilling his mission with dedication and purpose, reflecting resilience and a strong sense of duty to protect and preserve our forests.
