Hello, I am Saema Miftah, a data scientist with over 8 years of experience in the IT industry. I grew up in Patna in a humble, middle-class family with five siblings. Despite our financial struggles, my parents prioritized our education, ensuring we had the best opportunities available from the best schools and colleges in our town. They instilled in us the values of education, politeness, and humility, which have shaped who I am today.
My Journey with WES
When I first came across WES, I was truly inspired. My initial encounter with WES was through an internship opportunity that immediately caught my attention. After meeting Arif and Riya for the first time and discussing our shared desire to give back to society, I felt a strong calling to contribute to this initiative in any capacity I could.
The Impact of WES and Future Aspirations
WES is a remarkable, selfless organization where the team works tirelessly to uplift those who may not even know what education is or how it can transform lives. They do this by engaging with families, encouraging parents to send their children to school, organizing sessions with established professionals to motivate and inspire the students, providing and deepening computer class knowledge, and many more.
Despite being in a different city, I have collaborated with Arif and the team to help digitalize class materials, organize sessions, and develop apps for attendance monitoring. With milestones like the work at Dhanpuri Public School, I am very excited and hopeful that one day, we can expand this initiative beyond Madhya Pradesh to reach districts and cities across India that are still unaware of the true power of education. I am truly honored to be part of an organization so selfless in its mission to prioritize education—a step that has the power to transform lives.
