As I reflect on my journey with Dhanpuri Public School, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude and pride. My name is Reena Chakravarthi. Now, at the age of 52, I look back and see that teaching has been more than just a profession for me—it has been a calling, a way to make a real difference in the lives of our children.

Growing up in a middle-class family, education was always a priority for me. My husband, who is also a private teacher, shares this passion for teaching, and together, we have dedicated our lives to shaping young minds. We understand the profound impact that a good education can have, not just on individual students but on entire families and communities. This shared commitment has been a cornerstone of our lives and has driven us to continually strive for excellence in our work.
I pursued my passion for learning by obtaining a Master’s degree in Hindi Literature and Sociology. When I began teaching, it was out of necessity, but it soon became clear that this was where I was meant to be. In my 32 years of experience, I have never encountered a foundation like the Wes Educational Foundation, which works so tirelessly for children’s education and the profound impact it can have on both students and teachers alike. This experience has taught me that teaching is not just about imparting knowledge; it is about inspiring young minds, instilling values, and fostering a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.
Building a Positive and Nurturing Environment

At Dhanpuri Public School, we strive to create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported. As the head of all the teachers, I am committed to ensuring that our school is a place where students are encouraged to explore their potential and develop a love for learning. We believe that education goes beyond textbooks; it is about teaching life skills, instilling values, and fostering a sense of curiosity and wonder in every child.
One of the things I love most about teaching is the opportunity to connect with my students. They are not just faces in a classroom; they are individuals with unique talents, dreams, and challenges. I make it a point to share stories with them, not just from books but from real life, to help them understand the world around them. We talk about family, manners, and how to navigate the complexities of life. I believe that by sharing these experiences, I am helping them become not just good students but good human beings.
A Commitment to Excellence

Our team of dedicated teachers at Dhanpuri Public School is passionate about education and committed to the success of our students. We work together to create a positive atmosphere where learning is both enjoyable and impactful. Whether it’s through our computer literacy programs, spoken English classes, or personalized support for each student, we are always looking for ways to enhance the educational experience.

The Wes Foundation, under which our school operates, has been instrumental in supporting our mission. Their unwavering commitment to education and child development has enabled us to implement various programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students. The foundation understands that education is not a one-size-fits-all solution, and they have empowered us to tailor our approach to meet the individual needs of each child.
The Role of Education in Society
I believe that education is the foundation of all professions. Every doctor, engineer, lawyer, and professional out there began their journey in a classroom. It is here, within the walls of a school, that we lay the groundwork for all future success. This is why the role of a teacher is so important; we are not just educators, but mentors and guides, helping our students navigate their path to success.

Reaching Out to the Community
The Wes Foundation and Dhanpuri Public School are dedicated to ensuring that every child has access to quality education. We believe in reaching out to every child, especially those who may not have the opportunity to go to school. Our teachers, and me, go door-to-door, encouraging parents to send their children to school and explaining the long-term benefits of a good education.
Education is a collaborative effort, and we believe in engaging with the wider community to ensure that no child is left behind. My husband and I often discuss the importance of reaching out beyond the classroom to make a difference.

We also organize sessions with successful professionals, like IAS officers, to motivate our students and show them the endless possibilities that education can open up. These sessions are not just about academics; they are about inspiring our students to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals.
Looking Ahead
As we look to the future, I am filled with hope and optimism. The journey of education is a never-ending one, and we are committed to continuously improving and evolving to meet the changing needs of our students and society. I am proud of the work we are doing at Dhanpuri Public School and grateful to the Wes Foundation for their support and belief in our mission.

Teaching is not just a job for me; it is my passion and my purpose. I am honored to lead such a dedicated team of educators and to be a part of a community that values and prioritizes education. Together, we are building a brighter future for our children, one lesson at a time.
Thank you for supporting Dhanpuri Public School and the Wes Foundation. Your belief in our mission helps us continue to make a difference in the lives of so many children. We look forward to what the future holds and to continuing this incredible journey together.
