Gift a Book Drive: Igniting the Joy of Reading
“Gift a Book Drive” initiative! 🎁 As advocates for education and lifelong learning, we believe that instilling the habit of reading in students is one of the most impactful gifts we can give.
Wazir Education Society’s ‘gift a book’ drive happens to be one of our most favourite initiatives! People from all around the globe can send our students books and that’s not even the best part! They get to choose whom to gift the book to on the basis of their weaknesses, likes and dislikes!
Do you also have books that you no longer read? Are they in good condition? Well, instead of keeping them stacked in a corner, you can send them to Wazir Education Society. Gift your books to someone who would love them, who would cherish them and will be forever grateful for it.

Impact on Students
By gifting books to students, we’re not only providing them with access to knowledge but also igniting a lifelong passion for learning. Reading opens doors to endless possibilities, broadens perspectives, and empowers individuals to chase their dreams and aspirations.
Gift A book: Gursewak Jassal, our guest speaker during one of our virtual classes shared a story from “Think and Grow Rich”. While other students and our teachers were carefully listening to him, we noticed one of our students, Nishat, making notes.
We got intrigued by the fact that she was the only one out of 50+ students to do that. We asked her if the story piqued her interest, to which she responded that the characters in the story, Thomas Edison and his partner Edwin Barnes inspired her and that she’d like to know more.
She shared with us that she’ll be adding the book to her reading list. This incident sparked an idea to give her a book and encourage her to keep reading. Soon we gifted her a book named “You Can Win” Hindi translated version.
Nishat was so interested that she read a chapter from the book overnight and was talking about the book with other students the very next day. We thought to capture this learning moment on camera so here is a video from Nishat wherein she is talking about the book she read.
One small incident worked as a trigger point and all the students requested if they could get a book. Soon we realized that reading habits must be cultivated by all our students.
Keeping this in mind, we have started a Gift a Book Drive which is open for all, so our friends/well-wishers can come forward and help us materialise this Book Drive on a big scale and make an impact on 250+ students of the Wazir Education Society (WES).
Empowering Continuous Learning: Our Library System
“Once students have finished reading a book, we place it in the library, ensuring that the learning process continues. Other students can then borrow and utilize the book for their own reading and learning purposes.”
Why Reading Matters?
Reading unlocks new worlds, expands horizons, and fosters imagination. Research shows that students who love reading perform better academically, have stronger language skills, and exhibit greater creativity and critical thinking.
